First Linux Server in the Government of the Netherlands Antilles

The System Administrator of the Department of Finance of the Netherlands Antilles decided to install Ubuntu GNU/Linux on two new servers, saving a lot of money on licenses and a lot of time in maintenance. The servers use Samba and function as fileservers, and according to the Systems Administrator they ‘installed flawlessy in under an hour and have been running smoothly ever since. And remote mamagement is a breeze, which saves us a lot of travel costs.’ The Systems Administrator followed a 7 day Linux training given by a local company in December 2008.
